Samaria Gorge remained closed on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, following the strong seismic tremor that took place in the early hours of the same day.

The Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency announced that the inspection along the trail has been completed after the major earthquake south of Kasos.

By decision of the Agency, the gorge will be open and accessible from Thursday, May 15, 2025, through both of its entrances.
