An excursion to the enchanting Richtis Waterfall is being organised by Dromoi Zois on Sunday, 26 April 2026.

In their invitation, they mention, among other things:
“We’ve been and been again, yet it continues to impress and captivate us, and that’s why we’ll go again (after all, we do the same with cinema!!!).
This is one of the hikes that children (the grown-up ones) love, we love it, and as far as we know, so do you — in fact, probably everyone does. This coming Sunday, Dromoi Zois will hike and (re)discover the most famous waterfall of our island, on a route that everyone will enjoy and surely remember forever.

Starting from Exo Mouliana, we will head downhill along rural roads towards the sea and then, guided by a beautiful path, we will pass through lush green landscapes filled with plane trees, oleanders, walnut trees, fig trees, chaste trees and palm trees, small ponds, bridges and little waterfalls, with the stream accompanying us throughout the route, leading us to the stone single-arched bridge of Lachanas. A highlight of our journey is the impressive 20-metre-high Richtis Waterfall. The more adventurous can even try dipping (their toes!!) into the lovely pool formed at the base of the waterfall.

This year has been a rainy one, and the expected scenery promises to be spectacular...

Please note that there may be an entrance fee for the gorge for those over 15 years old (so bring some coins). Also, bring a second pair of socks and shoes.
