The VITSENTZOS KORNAROS Cultural Centre invites you to the presentation of the annual exhibition of Antonia Dretaki’s Printmaking Workshop, titled “Routes”.

The exhibition takes the concept of the map as its starting point. Rather than functioning as a geographical tool for orientation, the map becomes a personal record of the experience of place. Participants observed the environment in which they move every day and explored elements that shape their own relationship with the city, such as frequently travelled routes, favourite spots, memories, recurring images, objects, and small details of everyday life.

The prints develop around personal routes that function as alternative maps of the city. Sometimes real and recognisable, sometimes symbolic or shaped by lived experience, these routes come together to form a collective narrative about the way we inhabit, remember, and observe our surroundings.

The exhibition seeks to draw attention to things we often pass by, highlighting the inspiration that can be found in the familiar and the everyday. Through printmaking, the city is transformed into a space of observation and discovery, where each work becomes a point on a broader map of experiences.
