On the weekend of 5-6 September 2026, the 44th Pan-Cretan Mountaineering Meeting will take place in the Rouvas Forest, hosted by E.O.S. Moires. The Agios Nikolaos Mountaineering Club, in cooperation with F.OR.S. Sitia, will take part in the event, with a bus departing from Sitia. Bus fare: €50, plus €12 registration fee for the event. Accommodation will be in tents at the campsite.

Below is the brief programme, as announced by E.O.S. Moires:

Saturday 5/9: Groups will be welcomed and registered in the afternoon. In the evening, there will be greetings from the groups, dinner and a celebration.

Sunday 6/9: Breakfast will be followed by two hikes, one difficult and one easier, both starting from the Rouvas Forest. During our journey to and from Gergeri, there will be stops at points of interest.
