The Municipality of Platanias invites you to the opening of the group exhibition “Colours of Faith & Inspiration” on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 19:30 at the Polycentre of Voukolies.
This is no ordinary group show. It brings together the work of 39 artists, all of whom either hail from or currently live within the Municipality of Platanias. Their creations span a rich artistic spectrum—from traditional iconography to contemporary painting—forming a vivid, diverse mosaic of expression.
What binds these works together is not style, but spirit. Through colour, symbolism and form, the participating artists explore themes of faith, memory, nature, inspiration, and personal reflection. It's a celebration of both inner worlds and shared cultural heritage.

The exhibition has been curated with the support of Ioannis N. Archontakis, Director of the Chania Museum of Contemporary Art "Elaiourgeion", who provided expert technical guidance.
Running through to September 3rd, 2025, the exhibition is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00 (closed on weekends). Visitors will also receive a beautifully designed four-fold brochure featuring all the exhibited works.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the creative pulse of Platanias—raw, spiritual, and deeply rooted in the landscape and culture of western Crete.
