The last splashes of summer always have a special sweetness!!!

Whether you start from the springs,

whether you cross it in sections,

or whether you go straight to the palm forest and the sea, one thing is certain!!!

you will have your fill of fun in the water…

So, to sum up:

On the coming Sunday, 13 September 2026, following requests from many friends, an epic route is being repeated...

One of those routes you do once and remember for the rest of your life.

Our programme includes swimming, only this time the splashing will begin 6 kilometres before the sea.

More specifically, we will hike and swim through Kourtaliotiko Gorge, finishing at the famous and particularly impressive Preveli Beach, home to the largest palm forest in Crete after Vai.

A beautiful route through the river in a lush green landscape, in one of the most visited places in Crete.

You will need a swimsuit, sports shoes that will get wet, and all equipment carried must be fully waterproof when completely submerged in water. The use of trekking poles is recommended.

Free time for swimming at the beach.

Those who wish can do part of the route. More specifically, either the first half of it (3 km), the second half, the entire route, or simply go directly to the palm forest and start swimming in salt water straight away.

Walking time, 1st section: 2:30 – Difficulty Level 1+

Walking time, 2nd section: 3:30 – Difficulty Level 2

River trekking throughout the entire route.

at 07:30, Sunday 13/09/2026.

Our excursions take place in a non-urban environment, and equipment suitable for the terrain and the season is required.

We remind you that: membership fees must be paid by Friday afternoon, while cancellations can be made until Saturday at 13:00.

In case of non-attendance, the registered member is required to pay the participation fee.
