Join the Epitaph of the Mountaineers on Good Friday, April 10, 2026

In its invitation, the Mountaineering Club of Heraklion notes that this easy hiking route on the Limnakaro Plateau in Lasithi brings together the blooming spring landscape with the traditional decoration and procession of the Epitaph.

The walk begins from the village of Avrakontes on the Lasithi Plateau, ascending towards the Limnakaro Plateau, where participants will join local residents and fellow mountaineers in decorating the Epitaph at the chapel of Agio Pnevma.

The route is easy, suitable for beginner hikers and children.
