On the northern slopes of Mount Kavalaras, lies a small forest—a true hidden gem. A Venetian feudal lord, Pasqualigo, once had his tower there. Over time, the lord vanished into history, but his name lived on through the forest, which we’ll be visiting on Sunday, December 7th, 2025.

Historic monasteries (Panagia Koufis Petras & Moni Kremaston - Taxiarchon), lush greenery, herbs, brooks, myrtle, laurel, holm oaks, valonia oaks and plane trees will rest your eyes and keep your feet busy, on a calming, nerve-soothing nature hike alongside the glorious Cretan landscape.

Even peaceful souls are welcome to join—though we might get on their nerves if necessary!
