AEGEAN continues to invest strategically in expanding its network, further strengthening Greece's connectivity and Athens' role as an aviation hub.

As part of this strategy, AEGEAN is launching a new direct route connecting Athens with Damascus, the capital of Syria, adding another Middle Eastern country to its international network.

Flights to Damascus International Airport will begin on 2 December 2026 and will operate up to four times a week during the winter schedule, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

At the same time, the airline is exploring opportunities to further expand its network in North Africa. The addition of Libya to its network, with direct flights to Tripoli and Benghazi, is scheduled for May 2027, subject to the completion of the required assessments and procedures.

Finally, AEGEAN will resume direct flights from Athens to Dubai on 23 October 2026.
