On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the eve of the feast day of Prophet Elijah, the "1st Ammoudara–Kritsa Night Road Race" will take place, featuring a 6.3 km route around Ammoudara.

The event is dedicated to the memory of Georgios Pankalos, the late Head of the Department of Environmental Infrastructure of the Regional Unit of Lasithi.
