Kalou Choriou Gorge
ABOUT
This is a small gorge located in the Municipality of Hersonissos.
If you hike through it, you’ll follow a lush, green trail filled with captivating natural scents.
Its vegetation consists mainly of evergreen sclerophyllous species and fragrant Mediterranean shrubs. The landscape is dominated by aspalathos (Calicotome villosa), kermes oaks (Quercus coccifera), and tree spurge (Euphorbia dendroides).
The area is also home to significant populations of rodents and reptiles.
