The winter opening hours of the Heraklion Archaeological Museum are extended until 30 April 2026 and until the recruitment of seasonal guard staff, as follows:

1. Opening hours during the month of April 2026
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 08:30 a.m. – 15:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 17:00 p.m.
Good Friday (10.04.2026): 12:00 – 17:00 p.m.
Easter Sunday (12.04.2026): Closed

2. Visitor entry will be permitted up to twenty (20’) minutes before the end of the opening hours.

3. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum will remain closed on Easter Sunday (12 April 2026) and on 1 May, official state holidays.
