The Traditional Strata of the Municipality of Chania continues for its 5th year, filling the evenings and narrow streets of the Old Town and the Venetian Harbour of Chania with tradition and vibrancy.

On Tuesday, 08/09/2026, at 19:30, the Lyceum of Greek Women of Chania and the Folklore Group of Chania of Giannis Agiasmenakis present the event: “We Dance and Sing for the Grape Harvest.”

With the participation of the Doric Dance Group of the Municipal Unit of Efpalio.

The Traditional Strata will start from Neorio Moro. A stop has been scheduled at Giali Tzami, with the Square of the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary (Metropolis) of Chania as the final meeting point.

For yet another week, the members of the Traditional Association will offer the thousands of visitors attending an experience drawn from the traditions of the local area.

The event will take place every Tuesday over the coming months, aiming to highlight the distinctive characteristics of the area through tradition, its heritage of traditional dress, and the unique musical, dancing and vocal skills of the members of the Cultural Associations.
