Culture

The 4th Malevizi Festival has entered the final stretch! The great celebration of culture in Gazi is drawing near, and on 4, 5 and 6 September 2026, Mich. Katsamani Square will be transformed into a large open-air stage, welcoming artists and musical groups, cultural associations and local people.

A three-day celebration filled with music, culture, tradition, creativity and entertainment, aiming not only to offer unique moments of enjoyment, but also to showcase Malevizi, its products, traditions, culture and people.

A packed three-day programme, a true feast of musical sounds featuring established artists as well as a wide range of talented local music groups, promises a journey filled with rhythm, emotion and unique experiences.

Gazi and Katsamani Square will become the heart of a major cultural gathering, where music, tradition, creativity, interaction and the passion of the people of Malevizi take centre stage.

The Grand Opening on Friday, 4 September

The 4th Malevizi Festival will get underway at 19:00 on Friday, 4 September, with BATALA CRETA, whose distinctive drum rhythms and dynamic presence are expected to set the pulse of this great celebration from the very first moment.

At the same time, in the square, the cultural associations of Astyraki (“O Astyrakas”), Kitharida and the Rodia Theatre Group Association will welcome visitors at their stands.

They will be joined by the charitable organisations “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” and “Drasis Agapis”, with their own stands and activities.

With local products and flavours, creations, surprises, hands-on activities and plenty of passion, the cultural associations will add their own distinctive touch, giving visitors a taste of the authentic Malevizi experience.

Immediately after the Festival opens with BATALA CRETA, Sotiris Margaritis, our own distinctive, dynamic and lyrical performer, will take to the stage alongside Despicables Band, with a programme packed with energy and much-loved songs.

At 22:15, Konstantina Touni will take over, with her distinctive voice and unique stage presence, sweeping the audience along on a musical journey through songs, sounds and rhythms from every corner of Greece and bringing the evening to a thrilling high.

For yet another year, the 4th Malevizi Festival brings together music, culture, tradition and people, creating a great celebration open to everyone.

And, of course, admission to all events at the 4th Malevizi Festival is free.

Let’s experience it!
