The Municipality of Chania informs the public that the SeaTrac autonomous sea access system for people with disabilities at Agios Onoufrios Beach is temporarily out of service.

The suspension was deemed necessary after the system sustained damage due to the strong wave activity of the past few days. For safety reasons, it has been removed to allow for the required technical inspection and any necessary repair work, should this prove feasible.

To continue serving users in the Akrotiri area, the SeaTrac system at Marathi Beach remains available and fully operational.

The Municipality of Chania asks for the public's understanding regarding this temporary disruption. A further update will be provided as the situation develops.
