❌ A temporary ban on access and passage through Zaros Gorge towards Rouvas Forest has been announced due to increased risk.
The decision has been taken because of:
Landslides, rockfalls, severe weather phenomena, destruction of sections of the trail
The measure has been adopted with the sole aim of protecting human life and the physical safety of visitors and hikers.
Citizens and visitors are kindly requested to comply with the instructions and avoid accessing the area until the official lifting of the ban.
They are also asked to respect the signage and strictly follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
A further announcement will follow after a reassessment of the situation.
