The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is hosting a Blind Wine Tasting Day on Saturday, 24 January 2026, at 12:30, in the “G. Anemogiannis” Hall of the Museum. The event takes place as part of the competition for a commemorative collectible wine, marking 80 years since the publication of the iconic novel Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas.

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum and fourteen of Crete’s most renowned wineries join forces in a creative challenge: to capture in a single wine the personality of Alexis Zorbas, the emblematic hero of Nikos Kazantzakis—authentic, multi-dimensional, unconventional, joyful, and full of life.

Participating wineries:
Alexakis, Amargiotakis, Diamantakis, Douloufakis, Union of Heraklion, Zacharioudakis Estate, Idaia, Louloudis, Lyrarakis, Moinoterra, Dourakis, Paterianakis Estate, Strataridakis, Titakis.
