A) Volikas Refuge – Spathi – Agio Pnevma

On Saturday morning, we depart for the village of Kampos, Chania (580m), where our hike begins through lush green meadows and forest, heading towards the Volikas Refuge of the Chania Mountaineering Club (1400m) in the Lefka Ori, where we will spend the night.

Early the following morning, we set off for the peaks of Spathi (2048m) and Agio Pnevma (2283m), a demanding ascent across snowy and icy terrain. We then return to the refuge and from there back to Kampos.

The route is purely mountaineering and requires knowledge of winter mountain conditions, experience in the use of appropriate equipment, and excellent physical fitness.

B) Mochos – Malia – Profitis Ilias – Sisi

An excursion combining hiking and culture, suitable for everyone, beginners and children.

We begin our walk from the beautiful traditional village of Mochos (390m), descending along the old stone-built path with wonderful views over the northern coastline.

After the hike, we travel by bus to a point just past Malia. From there, following a rural road, we climb the hill of Profitis Ilias (105m) above Malia and admire the view. On our return, we pass by the Archaeological Site of Malia, which, unfortunately, is not yet open to visitors, as works there have not been completed.

We then pass by Potamos beach and, following the coastal path, end our walk in Sisi.
