The countdown is on for the Kolisavra Run on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
A dynamic introductory mountain running race, covering a distance of 6.5 km with 320 metres of positive and negative elevation gain. The race takes its name, Kolisavra Run, from the connection of this small reptile with its “bigger racing sibling”, the Krokodilos Trail, offering you an intense first taste of the experience. The race unfolds across a rugged terrain that is also the natural habitat of this small endemic reptile of Crete, the Kolisavra.
The race is of the “Out-and-Back” format, starting and finishing at exactly the same point (Skala location, eastern beach of Palaiochora), with a turnaround point exactly halfway (3.25 km). The route follows an initial ascent and then a descent along the exact same track (blue markings).
