A dynamic collaboration between local production, gastronomy and culture is set to unfold on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at the Port of Agios Nikolaos.

The major event “Cretan Cooking Festival 2026”, held on the occasion of World Tourism Day, brings together this year leading professionals from the tourism and restaurant sectors, cultural associations, local producers and traditional artists, highlighting gastronomic culture as one of the strongest ambassadors of our land.

The event places authentic Cretan identity at its heart, transforming the Port into a lively gastronomic and cultural workshop.

As part of “Cretan Cooking Festival 2026”, visitors will not simply be spectators. They will have the opportunity to take an active part in original hands-on workshops and discover the products of the Cretan land up close, enjoying a complete experience of flavours, indigenous varieties and aromas.

The Festival will also feature traditional musicians, who will showcase the richness of our cultural heritage and the renowned tradition of Cretan hospitality.

Participants: the group of Manolis Rasidakis, the traditional ensemble of the Music School of Lasithi and the Lykeion ton Ellinidon Agiou Nikolaou.
