Once again in 2025, the Ministry of Culture is hosting the much-loved Full Moon Events, coordinated by the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage. On Saturday, August 9th, selected archaeological sites across Greece will open their gates for a night under the moonlight—with free entry for everyone.
A total of 114 archaeological sites, historic locations, museums and monuments will welcome visitors across the country. Events are planned at 71 of them, while 44 will stay open simply for moonlit strolls—no ticket required.

August 9

Archaeological Site of Gortyna
Open to the public from 19:30/20:00 until midnight.
Organised by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Heraklion. -
Archaeological Site of Tylissos
Jazz night in memory of K. Kouvidis.
Open from 19:30/20:00 until midnight, with free entry.
Organised by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Heraklion. -
Archaeological Site of Rokka
Symphony concert titled “Unseen Harmonies” by the Rokka Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Luca Giózzi.
