The Municipality of Platanias and the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Platanias (K.E.D.I.P.), in collaboration with the Region of Crete, are organising the 16th “Land – Culture – Tourism” Festival on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at 19:30, in Platanias Square, as part of the “Cultural Summer 2026” events.

The Festival, which has now become an established institution, is a major celebration dedicated to the Cretan land, its products and the culture of its people. The event aims to showcase the richness and quality of local products, support and promote local production, and introduce residents and visitors to the traditions and culture of Crete.

This year’s event is particularly dedicated to Cretan wine and its derivatives. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover and take part in the production process of wine and tsikoudia, taste Cretan products made with wine, and sample wines and products from the Cretan land.

The evening will conclude with traditional music and dancing, in a celebration that brings together local production, tradition, culture and Cretan hospitality.

The 16th Festival marks the culmination of this year’s events organised by the Municipality of Platanias, “Cultural Summer 2026 – ‘Land – Culture – Tourism’ Festival,” bringing to a close a series of cultural activities and events held throughout the Municipality during the summer.

Admission is free to the public.
