ABOUT

The Pervolakia Gorge begins at the village of Pervolakia and stretches for a length of 3.5 km, culminating at Kapsa Monastery. While it is generally accessible, there are some sections with steeper terrain that require careful attention.

The hike through the Pervolakia Gorge typically takes around two to three hours to complete, and it offers a refreshing reward at the end. After exploring the gorge, hikers can enjoy a swim in the waters of the beach located in front of the Kapsa Monastery.

Within the gorge, there stands a monument dedicated to two skilled Austrian climbers, Albert Precht and Robert Jölli, who tragically lost their lives on 8th May 2015, during an attempt to ascend a 150-metre mountain peak.
