The Gymnastic Athletic Club of Malia, in collaboration with the Malia Women’s Association "Estia", the Cultural Association of Malia, the Municipality of Hersonissos, and the Region of Crete, is organising the 4th Sarpidoneios Road Race on Sunday, November 16, 2025 in Malia.
The event includes three races:

10 km road race, starting at 10:00 a.m.
-
5 km road race, starting at 10:15 a.m.
-
1,000-metre children's race (for children up to 12 years old), starting at 11:30 a.m.
The awards ceremony will take place at 12:00. The starting and finishing point for all races is the courtyard of the Malia Primary School.
The routes stretch along the Malia coastal front, offering participants beautiful sea views, with the Dikti mountain range rising majestically to the south. The terrain has minimal inclines, and most of the course is flat.

Any bank transfer fees from other banks are borne by the participant.
Registration:
Registrations are done online at https://atpro.gr/sarpidoneios-dromos/ and will remain open until the maximum number of participants is reached.
Each registration is personal, unique, and non-transferable.
Race-day registrations will be accepted only if there are available spots.

After the race, there will be a complimentary meal/snack, and the event will be photographed.
Race packet pickup:
The registration desk will operate in the courtyard of Malia Primary School from 08:00 to 09:45 on Sunday, November 16.
Race packets must be collected at least 30 minutes before the start of each race.

Instructions & support:
There will be designated parking areas and a personal belongings storage area at the school (under participant responsibility).
Participants are kindly requested to follow the instructions of the police and volunteers.
Use of any technical aid (e.g., bicycle, scooter, etc.) is strictly prohibited during the race.
Safety measures:
The event will have a race doctor, volunteer rescuers with first aid training, an ambulance, and a physiotherapist.
Participants compete at their own risk and are advised to undergo medical examinations prior to participating.
Image rights:
The organisers retain the photography and filming rights of the race.
By participating, athletes accept that they may appear in related visual content without further permission or compensation.
